My Planner Last Month, January 2018

It seems I completely forgot to post my planner for December….and the last newsletter, come to think of it. Time to catch up me thinks… starting with last months planner pages.

At the start of January I designed 2 new styles for my personal weekly planning. I felt I needed a change from my Modern style planner. Which worked great, but I felt I was repeating the same pattern for decorating over and over… and I wanted a change.

From the 2 designs I made I choose one to be the design for January and the other would be my February setup.

The design for January is the “INBOX” design. The monthly overview is still the MODERN design, because I hadn’t worked out what the INBOX MOTP should look like.

After using this design for a month, I feel it works really well, both for business like planning and for decorative planning pages.

Of course in a way, the same problem shows up here as well.

There are only so many ways in which you can decorate a page and still have it function the way it should.

Still I do like the way this design is working. So far this has only been a try-out and the final design might get a few tweaks, before I start listing it in my shop.

I think the final design doesn’t really need the Next Month section, so I’ll leave that out probably.

Both this design and the one I’m going to use for February were available throughout January in my Facebook group and if memory serves me right, also in the Free files folders.

The design for February is called “PLAYFUL” and is completely different and I’m really looking forward to using it. I made 2 inserts this time.

One Future Log insert, which will take me into 2020 and one for February. Previously I added the future log to the end of my diary and when it was full I transferred all that was needed to the next diary’s future log pages.

However, it seems I’ve gotten lazy and don’t want to keep transferring it. So I made a thin little booklet to keep in my TN long term. With some extra notes pages, for, well… notes =)

For the PLAYFUL design I did make a new Monthly view page. This one has lots of room to make notes… Not sure how I like this yet, but taking it for a test run this month.

The same goes for the new PLAYFUL WOTP. I’m so looking forward to this, I had such a ball making the little circles =) . I feel I may end up keeping it clean and pristine though, with to the point writing only…

Or perhaps not…. I may need to start writing a lot smaller though with this design.

I added some budgeting pages for the month of February to the back of the diary, but it still is a thin insert. Together with the Future Log they form a normal sized insert. So that should work well together.

I keep my journaling in a separate insert in the same TN. (A blogpost with some journaling pages will follow soon.) Together these 3 inserts and a folder, with stuff, make up my personal B6 slim sized TN with just the right thickness for me.

All in all looking forward to my February test.

Let me know what you think of these designs and if you’d like to test out the PLAYFUL design. I can upload the file to the free files folder.

I hope you have a wonderful week,

xoxo Monique
